The Rockland Athletic Cub, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1974 by Myles Angeley, Bob Barter, Ken Coburn, Caesar DeMeo, Tom Hurley, Albert Ormanski, and Howard Reske to promote amateur baseball in Rockland.

The Rockland Athletic Club sponsored the American Legion team from 1975 to 1979. In 1979, they added a Stan Musial team, eventually becoming a Cranberry Baseball League team, which is still a member of the Stan Musial League and nationally affiliated as a member. In 2001, the Rockland Cardinals, the CBL team, became the CBL and State Champions, and over the past 50 years, they have recorded over 600 wins.

In 2004, the Rockland Athletic Club was turned over to Joe Reis and Thom Roache, who had just restarted the American Legion Team in 2003 for Rockland. Since then, thirty years ago, Reis and Roache have kept the Rockland Athletic Club going, with both the CBL Rockland Cardinals and the Rockland American Legion Senior and Junior teams operational. The 20 years under Roache and Reis have seen the Rockland Cardinals make tournament runs and Rockland Legion teams make the playoffs and State Tournament.

We would like to thank the Loyal Sponsors of our teams, the many Coaches, Assistants, Score Keepers and Ball players, the Rockland Park Department, the Town of Rockland, and the fans, who have been so instrumental in the success of the organization (R.A.C.) and the Teams.

THE ROCKLAND ATHLETIC CLUB WILL DEDICATE THIS SEASON TO JOSEPH MYLES ANGELEY AND HIS PARTNERS AS WE CELEBRATE OUR 50TH YEAR.
