Following another exciting season of Cranberry Baseball League action, the CBL is proud to announce its 2026 End of Season Award winners.

From dominant individual performances to outstanding leadership in the dugout, this year's honorees distinguished themselves with remarkable consistency and excellence throughout the regular season.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Robinson Baez of the Acushnet Aztecs has been named the Player of the Year. Baez put together one of the league's most complete offensive seasons, batting .426 (26-for-61) while scoring 24 runs, driving in 18 RBIs, collecting two doubles, three triples, and one home run.

He finished the season with a 1.152 OPS, a .607 slugging percentage, and a .545 on-base percentage. Baez led the league in hits, runs scored, and triples while finishing second in both average and RBIs.

PITCHER OF THE YEAR

Matthew Taylor of the Plymouth Brewers earned Pitcher of the Year honors after establishing himself as one of the league's premier arms. Taylor finished the season with a 4-2 record and a stellar 1.99 ERA across eight appearances.

The crafty southpaw struck out a league-leading 60 batters over 38.2 innings while tying for second in victories and ranking third in innings pitched.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Bobby Quill of the Mass. Hurricanes captured the Rookie of the Year award following an outstanding debut campaign.

Quill led the league with a .457 average (16-for-35) while adding five runs scored, four RBIs, one triple, three walks, a 1.014 OPS, .514 slugging percentage, and a .500 on-base percentage.

MANAGER OF THE YEAR

For the second consecutive season, Chris Thornell of the Acushnet Aztecs has been named the Manager of the Year after guiding the Aztecs to a league-best 19-6 regular season record.

Acushnet's offense ranked second in average (.279), runs scored (152), and hits (182), while leading the league with eight home runs and 57 stolen bases.

On the mound, the Aztecs finished with a league-best 1.94 ERA while allowing the fewest runs (62) and recording a league-high 211 strikeouts, a testament to Thornell's leadership and the club's commitment on both sides of the ball.
