Pitcher of the Week

June 2 Jordan Berry - Brockton Dirt Dogs  
Berry had a big opening week for the Dirt Dogs as he went 6-11 (.545) with 5 RBI.   On Tuesday against the Braintree White Sox he hit 2 home runs and barely missed a 3rd.
Mike Sullivan - Plymouth Pirates

Sullivan threw 10 innings for the Pirates this week picking up a Save and a ND.   On opening day he had a 2 inning save and then came back 2 days later going a complete game 8 innings but leaving with a 1-1 tie to Canton.    Sullivan had 10K's overall and 0.00 ERA on the week.

June 9

Casey Askeland -

Middleboro Bolts

The rain didn't slow down the Bolts this week.   Askeland was 4-9 with 2 triples, 1 double and 5 RBI as Middleboro went 3-0 on the week.

Joey Lucier - Easton Huskies
 
In his 2nd start of the season Lucier threw a CG shutout scattering 4 hits and walking only one as Easton beat Canton 4-0.
June 16

John Granahan - Rockland Cardinals

 

The Cardinals were perfect on the week as Granahan went 5-8 with 5 RBI and a triple. 

Paul Chiampa - South Shore Warriors
 
Chiampa shut out the Dirt Dogs this week with a 3 hit 9 strikeout performance.   He is now 2-0 on the season.

June 23

Dave Billotte - Easton Huskies
 
The leagues batting leader at .615 went 7-10 on the week with 2 RBI.  He also picked up a Win against Middleboro throwing 5 innings and giving up just 3 ER.

Paul Chiampa - South Shore Warriors
 
Chiampa shut out the Dirt Dogs this week with a 3 hit 9 strikeout performance.   He is now 2-0 on the season.
June 30

Skip Flanagan - Easton Huskies


Flanagan was 7-12 on the week while also scoring 6 times for the Huskies.
 

 

Brendan Pittsley - Middleboro Bolts
 
Pittsley threw 8 shut-out innings and gave up only 4 hits for the victory against Braintree on Tuesday night.
 

July 7

Ryan Morgan -

Braintree White Sox


Morgan was the star of the inaugural E. Mass. Amateur Baseball Classic.   He hit two 3-run home runs and drove in 8 RBI's.  He also played an excellent 3rd base making many great plays throughout the weekend.

Jeff Blout - Plymouth Pirates
 
Blout pitched 8 strong innings against the Dirt Dogs earning the CG victory while strike out 13 batters.
 

July 14

Frank Curreri  -

Braintree White Sox


The reigning league MVP had a big week going 6-7 with 3 homers, 9 RBI, and 7 Runs scored.

 

Nick Asselin - Braintree White Sox
 
Asselin is 4-0 on the season and has yet to yield a run.  This week he threw a CG shutout at home against the Easton Huskies striking out 5.
